"Mysteries of the Marsh"

You will be guided on a walking tour as you venture off the beaten path into a world of mysteries and restless spirits. The tales of the ghost infested marshlands will be whispered as you discover pirates with stories of The Spirit of the Southbank, Phantom Ships and Bootleg Rum.  Shiver me timbers!  You will find Professor Willard at his anthropological digs sharing Monroe's history of The Mad Butcher of Winchester Street.  A short distance up the path you will be joined by an Indian squaw who conjures both legend and lore from 1812 including local dealings with shape-shifters, similar to the mythical beasts known as werewolves.  Can the Monroe Monster be far away?

Discover unique characters on the heritage walking trail linking Sterling State Park to the new River Raisin National Battlefield Park.

Be brave and join the guided ghost tour for only $10.
